What's better than pope soap on a rope?

Buddha in the bath!*

My sketchbook arrived in the mail today. There's something so exciting about a blank sketchbook. Or any brand new art supplies, for that matter. It's a feeling that I've loved since I was a kid. It's hard to beat a freshly opened box of crayons when they're all nice and sharp. Or a new package of construction paper with all of the good colors in tact. Or water colors before they all get smeared together in that plastic tray and turn brown. I think it's all about possibilities. I have what I need to make something beautiful, now I just need to figure out what to do. And that's the hard part. My sketchbook project theme is "if you lived here." Not sure where I'm gonna go with that.

*Thank you, Suzy!

  1. Seems to me that you are always capturing beautiful things in your every day life where you live - I think you've got it! Good luck...you will have to remind me when the tour happens and hopefully I can check it out in Chicago.
