An unexpected Sunday surprise -- an afternoon hike with Drew! He is not a big nature kind of guy, so I was really happy to have his company. Tanner is up to his ears with homework, so we gave him a quiet house.
The paw paws have started blooming...another happy surprise. And more twisty, creepy trees. They almost don't look real.
Lots of mountain bikers on the trails today. I would love to do that -- it looks like so much fun! Not to mention great exercise. The down side is that I'd miss all of the little sights and sounds along the path -- wildflowers in bloom, little red-chinned lizards, creeks gurgling. But biking looks like a blast. Maybe I could alternate and have a little bit of both.
