Early Morning

Took Sophie for a walk early this morning to get her used to the neighborhood. Since I hike so much, I have to admit that I don't walk around here very often. But I still saw a lot of lovely things. Our community is known for having a lot of large, mature trees -- and tons of leaves on the ground in the fall.

This leaf looks like it's being held up by a muscle man.
